Qustodio is a very good option for filtering both computers and mobile devices. It provides device filtering, time limits, whitelist/blacklist, and accountability options. An guide for use and installation of Qustodio has been added to the resources page and may also be found here.
Occasionally, useful websites will display advertising that is offensive or inappropriate. A type of program or app called an ad blocker can be useful in eliminating this type of content. Information on installing ad blockers can be found here.
